regular nights

The open mics, jams and club nights that call this place home.

  • klub Kakofanney

monthly, first friday of the month (except august) · hosted by phil freizinger and sue smith (run by volunteers)

Klub Kakofanney is Oxford's longest-running independent music promoter, founded in 1991 by Phil Freizinger and Sue Smith and run entirely by volunteers. On the first Friday of each month (except August), a lineup of around four acts plays original music spanning a wide range of genres at Florence Park Community Centre. Entry is pay-on-the-door and a loyalty stamp card rewards regular attendees — a characterful and welcoming fixture of Oxford's grassroots scene for over three decades.

  • Beginners Ukulele Session

fortnightly, mondays; new course intakes in april and october each year · hosted by oxford ukuleles

The Beginners Ukulele Session is run by Oxford Ukuleles, a welcoming group class held fortnightly on Monday evenings at Florence Park Community Centre. It is part of a structured 12-class course that runs twice a year, with new intakes starting in April and October; each session comes with song sheets and recap videos to support practice at home. Complete newcomers are encouraged to join from the start of a course, and loaner ukuleles can be arranged if you don't have your own yet.
