Like most websites, our hosting keeps standard server logs - things like your ip address, browser type and the pages requested - which are used to run the site securely and diagnose problems. We don't use these to build a profile of you.

Your filter and toggle choices (venue, tribute acts) are kept in the page url, not in cookies, so a link you share reflects what you were looking at.

We use our own, first-party analytics to understand how the site is used - things like which listings people view, which gigs they open, and when they click out to a ticket seller or source. It doesn't set tracking cookies and doesn't identify you: each visit gets a random, short-lived id that lasts only until you close the tab. We look at this in aggregate to see what's useful and improve gigstamp, and we honour your browser's “do not track” setting.

Installing gigstamp as an app puts an icon on your home screen and opens the site on your city, which we remember in a small preference cookie. The app needs a connection: listings are not stored on your device for offline reading.

Our booking and source links take you to third-party sites with their own privacy policies. Once you leave gigstamp, those sites - not us - are responsible for any data they collect.
