about the band
stampbot says…

stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.

It does its best, but it can get things wrong. If it has, tell us and we’ll fix it.

A neo-psych and motorik four-piece from oxford, blending spacey psychedelic guitar with a driving, shoegaze-tinged atmosphere. Their debut proper ep 'the hum & the howl' arrived in october 2023, a five-tracker including 'i was born tonight' and 'this dingy cage'. Formed in summer 2021, they've been featured in get radio's band week and have become a regular presence on the oxford live circuit.

Klub Kakofanney is Oxford's longest-running independent music promoter, founded in 1991 by Phil Freizinger and Sue Smith and run entirely by volunteers. On the first Friday of each month (except August), a lineup of around four acts plays original music spanning a wide range of genres at Florence Park Community Centre. Entry is pay-on-the-door and a loyalty stamp card rewards regular attendees — a characterful and welcoming fixture of Oxford's grassroots scene for over three decades.

Patrick Crow

Patrick Crow

band · acoustic · alt-country · alternative folk · americana · singer-songwriter · oxfordshire, uk

An oxfordshire singer-songwriter whose music sits in acoustic folk and americana territory, built around candid, personal storytelling. His 2018 single 'stories from the past' — produced at milkman studios — gives a good sense of the warm, heartfelt writing at the core of his work.
