stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.

It does its best, but it can get things wrong. If it has, and we’ll fix it.

A london trio making dark, driving rock built on tribal rhythms and post-punk intensity, with lyrics that probe themes of fate and spiritual struggle. Their sophomore ep minor crown, being launched at this oxford show, follows the 2024 debut inside outside ep, which featured original co-founder dave barbarossa of adam ant and bow wow wow. The current trio draws on a lineage spanning silent weapon, projekt darkstar, and the barmy army.

Klub Kakofanney is Oxford's longest-running independent music promoter, founded in 1991 by Phil Freizinger and Sue Smith and run entirely by volunteers. On the first Friday of each month (except August), a lineup of around four acts plays original music spanning a wide range of genres at Florence Park Community Centre. Entry is pay-on-the-door and a loyalty stamp card rewards regular attendees, a characterful and welcoming fixture of Oxford's grassroots scene for over three decades.

An Oxford three-piece featuring Mick Quinn of Supergrass, formed in 2010 and described as heavier and hairier than his old band. They released the eps stranger in the alps in 2011 and loosen up in 2013, then reformed in 2024 with an expanded line up and a sold out home town show.
