GloFest 2026
Oxford's biggest night of local live music and lights - all under the stars.

GloFest in back for 2026!!
An evening festival event of live music, dj sets and concluding with GloFest's now legendary epic laser filled closing DJ set from James Ussher. Once again we have some of the top acts that the legendary Oxford local music scene has to offer ...
Mount St. Helen (headliners) - Oxford's most electrifying live act, Mount St. Helen brings the kind of volcanic energy that only a true headline slot can contain. Known for their explosive blend of indie rock and anthemic songwriting, they've already built a fiercely loyal following.
Mary's Garden - Oxford's finest indie goth rock band known for a sound that blends inward-looking, delicate moments with expansive musical arrangements. Fronted by vocalist Laima Bite, the band is noted for creating a "fair old fat sound" that is original and amazing to catch live.
The horMones - All-female punk band based in Oxford, consisting of nine members aged between 50 and 79. Formed in March 2023, none of the members had previously played instruments or sang before starting the band. Inspired by punk icons like The Ramones and Sex Pistols, they are truly riding roughshod over stereotypes about older women in music.
The Shotovers - An upcoming pop-rock band known for blending rich harmonies and jangly guitars with heavy riffs and funky grooves. The band has made a significant impact on the local scene, recently selling out a headline show at The Bullingdon in December 2025. Their electrifying live performances feature original, anthemic melodies that capture audiences with colourful harmonies and heavy, danceable grooves.
DJ Kwassa Kwassa will keep the groove and beats rolling between live sets.
NOTE: To help us keep the event safe, enjoyable and in line with our licensing requirements, we kindly ask that no alcohol is brought onto the site. There will be random bag checks on entry, and any alcohol brought in may be confiscated. Thanks for your understanding — we look forward to welcoming you for a great night of live music, lights and lasers.

Oxford-based alternative art rock project built around self-producing multi-instrumentalist aris sabetai, whose songs layer overdriven guitars and shoegaze textures into a cinematic, large-scale indie rock sound rooted in themes of nostalgia, faith, and identity. Featured by nightshift in their december 2025 issue, the band released their debut ep 'the stillness, the dancing' in june 2026 — the culmination of a run of singles that drew coverage from international music press. Unsigned and self-managed, they bring a full live band and an ambitious, carefully orchestrated show to oxford's grassroots stages.

Oxford-based indie goth rock band whose sound weaves wistful dream pop melodies into anthemic, stomping alternative rock. Their 2026 album 'everything' was picked as bandcamp new & notable and earned them a full feature and interview in nightshift magazine's february 2026 issue. Latest single 'gasoline' dropped in may 2026.
“this is music that looks inward but often billows outward, its delicate moving parts making for something wonderfully expansive.”
“a powerful and cohesive album.”
“what sets these recordings apart is the sheer attention to musical detail; carefully considered instrumental parts find their place within finely woven and wholly naturalistic arrangements.”

An oxford punk collective of women all aged 50-plus, formed in 2023 with zero prior performing experience between them — embracing punk's diy ethos to make noise, have fun, and be seen. Their raw, energetic sound draws on classic punk and riot grrrl, and they've already earned a bbc news oxfordshire feature and played a sold-out charity show raising funds for a young women's music project. They're on a mission to prove it's never too late to pick up an instrument and get on stage.
“older women tend to be unseen, unheard, a bit invisible — but ignore that, get on, enjoy yourselves, make music, and dance.”

An oxford pop-rock band with jangly guitars, layered harmonies, and a heavy, funky edge. A sold-out headline at the bullingdon in december 2025 marked them out as one of the local scene's rising acts, and they've been a regular fixture at oxford's grassroots festivals since. Live sets are known for anthemic originals and danceable grooves.
