  • that's f***ing rubbish

monthly, the fourth friday of the month · hosted by green door store, the team behind 'i f***ing h8 clubbing'

A late-night club night at the Green Door Store built around a deliberately silly premise: two mismatched artists are pitted against each other on the Spotify queue, backed by a supporting cast of related acts, and the crowd decides the winner by dropping a vote in the matching bin. Each edition gets its own daft billing, and the run so far includes summertime sadness vs badness. It is put on by the Green Door Store team behind the venue's I F***ing H8 Clubbing night, and lands on the fourth Friday of the month from 11pm through to 4am. Entry is £5, over-18s.

  • 90s vs 00s

monthly, first friday · hosted by green door store with morehumanthanhuman

A monthly late-night club night in the arches under Brighton station, billed as a decade smack down between the 90s and the 00s. It runs on the first Friday of the month from 11pm through to 4am, with the Green Door Store putting it on alongside promoter morehumanthanhuman. Entry is a flat £5 and it is 18+. Expect the pop, indie and dance touchstones of both decades played off against each other rather than a single-genre floor.

  • Hiraeth Folk Club's 2nd Birthday

Hiraeth Folk Club is a Brighton-based folk promoter putting on themed evenings of Celtic and traditional folk music at grassroots venues across the city. Each show features a headliner and support acts, often alongside craft workshops, and the club holds a notaflof (no one turned away for lack of funds) ethos. The club also organises the Brunswick Folk Festival in Hove and has grown quickly since launching in 2024, building a lively community around the younger end of Brighton's folk scene.
