stampbot says…
stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
Bradford's polite bureaux released their album 'except your skint' in august 2025 and were picked for hidden herd's brighton new music night that september. The sound is wiry lo-fi electronic beats and jagged post-punk riffs under gritty spoken-word rants about everyday life in a fractured system. The title came from a line scrawled on a gas bill envelope during a pub night.
“a fist-pumping collision of gritty spoken-word venom and jagged electronic beats”
“the energetic, genre-blurring electronic post-punk project of Joe Smith, driven by wiry lo-fi beats and razor-sharp lyrical rants about everyday life”
