A bay area underground mainstay of many years' standing, invited on to kalx in berkeley to talk about and dj around his first solo record. The songs are taut, quirky power pop with soaring guitars, moving through bubblegum and slacker rock, and the lyrics reach for classical and biblical references as often as pop ones.
