Calling All Pirates! A Steampunk Celtic Rock Adventure

DORIS BRENDEL & LEE DUNHAM – PIRATES OF THE IRON SKY
Fresh from acclaimed tours with Fish and Wishbone Ash, award-winning singer Doris Brendel and guitarist/producer Lee Dunham present an ambitious new Celtic prog rock adventure inspired by their forthcoming album Pirates of the Iron Sky.
Combining powerful vocals, soaring melodies, driving rock and Celtic influences, the show takes audiences on a swashbuckling journey through a world of sky pirates, steam-powered airships, mythical creatures and forgotten cities. A specially created cinematic pirate movie unfolds on screen behind the band, bringing a thrilling treasure-hunt story to life through music, film and storytelling.
And audiences are invited to join the adventure! Pirates, mermaids, Vikings, steampunk adventurers, wizards, witches and other fantasy folk are all welcome. Fancy dress is positively encouraged!
HAZE
Formed in Sheffield in 1978 by brothers Chris and Paul McMahon, Haze are veterans of the British progressive rock scene, having shared stages with the likes of Pallas, Pendragon and Solstice during the heyday of the 1980s neo-prog movement.
Never content to be confined by genre, Haze blend progressive rock with folk, hard rock, metal, psychedelia and more, combining intricate compositions with an energetic, often unpredictable live performance. Now a genuine family affair, the band features Paul and Chris alongside drummer Danny McMahon and multi-instrumentalist Catrin Ashton on flute and fiddle. Their acclaimed 2024 album The Water's Edge showcases the band's continuing musical evolution, drawing on decades of experience while retaining the adventurous spirit that has made them a firm favourite on the UK prog circuit.
Two bands, two very different musical journeys, and one evening of great live music!
