about the band
stampbot says…
stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
It does its best, but it can get things wrong. If it has, tell us and we’ll fix it.
Liverpool singer best known as the original voice of new wave band the lotus eaters, whose debut single the first picture of you was a hit across the uk and europe in 1983. He went on to record solo albums, and is on the road in 2026 as special guest on heaven 17's penthouse and pavement anniversary tour.
