WILL WILDE

WILL WILDE at the bullingdon

time 7.00pm
162 Cowley Rd, Oxford

We are SO thrilled to have the fabulous Will Wilde return after a long gap. After years of hard work this looks like this is Will's year.. Having won Instrumentalist of the Year at this year's Blues Awards and even more exciting news, he has been chosen to play on the line up supporting Eric Clapton at Sandringham in August, alongside Ronnie Wood and Andy Fairweather Low.

Far more than a traditional Blues harp player, Will Wilde is a force to be reckoned with - a phenomenal harmonica player with a voice to match. Will's intense harmonica style steals the spotlight from the traditional blues rock guitar, with a sound that owes as much to Gary Moore as it does to Sonny Boy Williamson. "I’m always looking to make new sounds with the harmonica, pushing its boundaries, trying to change people’s perception of it.” His You Tube videos brought him to the attention of blues rock guitar legend Walter Trout, who invited him to play on his album 'Broken', which went to number one on the Billboard Blues Album Chart. To return the favour, Walter played guitar on the title track and first single from Will's new album 'The Blues Is Still Alive'. The album reached number one on the IBBA Chart and number five on the UK's Official Jazz & Blues Album Chart, " It was my great honor to be part of this music with the incredible Will Wilde. He's the best! " -Walter Trout "Will Wilde ignites a new era for the genre" - American Blues Scene

band · acoustic · alt-country · alternative folk · americana · singer-songwriter · oxfordshire, uk

An oxfordshire singer-songwriter whose music sits in acoustic folk and americana territory, built around candid, personal storytelling. His 2018 single 'stories from the past' — produced at milkman studios — gives a good sense of the warm, heartfelt writing at the core of his work.
