Sandy's Piano Bar runs a weekly open mic every Sunday evening, open to anyone who turns up and adds their name to the sign-up board on the night. A full stage piano, electric and acoustic guitars, bass, electric cajon, and microphones are all provided, so performers need only bring themselves. Entry is free throughout, and the night has been part of Oxford's grassroots scene since the bar opened in 2017.

Mystery Biscuit

A neo-psych and motorik four-piece from oxford, blending spacey psychedelic guitar with a driving, shoegaze-tinged atmosphere. Their debut proper ep 'the hum & the howl' arrived in october 2023, a five-tracker including 'i was born tonight' and 'this dingy cage'. Formed in summer 2021, they've been featured in get radio's band week and have become a regular presence on the oxford live circuit.
