every gig · every venue

Oh yes, we host our favourite alt-everythings Mumbles in Oxford again as they hellraise through the UK this summer to support their Book of Hell EP which we (Divine Schism) released earlier this year - a collection of songs for the ages! If you missed the tour in January, be sure to make this show!
They are joined by youthful alt-sensations, Steatopygous who bring their wild, curious energy and post-riotgrrrl punk to Oxford for the first time from Wiltshire whilst hitting the road this summer.
We loved seeing Slunk recently at their first gig and can't wait to see them in the basement of the Library with their lo-fi, joyous and personal wonky pop - a great collection of people from the scene who formed at YWMP's hangout sessions at The Nest, not to be missed!
Slightly earlier show for a Sunday evening with doors at 6pm and music asap up til 9pm or so! See you in the pit!

A manchester three-piece who traffic in dense, maximalist indie rock threaded with emo, noise rock, woodwinds and bursts of free jazz — chaotic, angular and unexpectedly tender. Their 2024 debut 'in the pocket of big sad', mastered by deerhoof's greg saunier, was a staff pick at norman records and drew praise from louder than war. Live, they're described as a turbocharged, high-energy unit.
“a glorious splatter of outre indie influences from deerhoof to super furry animals”
“one of the most powerful and unique albums you will listen to this year”
“an occasionally challenging, sometimes confusing record, but one which will draw you back for multiple listens”

Steatopygous are a left-field alt-rock band on sketch book records who put out their debut ep, songs of salome, in november 2025 — six tracks of angular guitar music recorded at nine volt leap studios. They've been building a presence on the grassroots circuit since their first demos surfaced in late 2024.

A bristol duo making sparse, brooding music across post-hardcore, slowcore, and spoken word — strings and vocals over stripped-back percussion. Their 2023 album pigtails was released as a limited physical run (never to be repressed), and a companion live-to-tape ep followed later that year, recorded direct to tape at middle farm studios. Understated and quietly intense, with an experimental sensibility.

An oxfordshire singer-songwriter whose music sits in acoustic folk and americana territory, built around candid, personal storytelling. His 2018 single 'stories from the past' — produced at milkman studios — gives a good sense of the warm, heartfelt writing at the core of his work.
