Divine Schism are stoked to be working with Hana Stretton and WOOM this Sept!

Hana Stretton is a British-Australian music producer and composer, recognised for her singular, deeply distinctive sound. Her stunning debut, Soon, quickly became a beloved work within the experimental lo-fi community. Phil Elverum described her music as “mysterious, deep, resonant, inhabitable,” and his label PW Elverum & Sun went on to release the album in 2024.

Deeply connected to the natural world, Stretton’s work traces a vivid journey—from the dusty Australian bushland of Soon to the Pacific Ocean on her forthcoming LP, tiarn. Set for release this year, the new record takes an unexpected cinematic turn, weaving together classical and electronic influences.

In 2023-2024, Hana toured with Jessica Pratt, Mount Eerie and Julie Byrne as well as selling out London’s RAH Elgar Room, and appearing at festivals such as Haldern Pop and Sound Of Bronkow Festivals.

The astonishing London-based vocal trio WOOM will join Hana as her backing band on this tour and also play a set on the night too - this is going to be a truly special show at the Nest!

It does its best, but it can get things wrong. If it has, tell us and we’ll fix it.

Her debut album soon found an audience in experimental lo-fi circles, and she has played haldern pop and sound of bronkow festivals. A british-australian producer and composer whose songs are quiet, close and unhurried. The new lp tiarn takes a more cinematic turn, folding classical and electronic writing into the same frame.

An oxford act who has had airplay on bbc introducing in oxfordshire and is a regular on divine schism bills around the city. The songs are hushed and close-miked, sitting somewhere between dream pop and electro, with a lullaby quality to them. The album for me, the sun came out in 2023.

An oxfordshire singer-songwriter whose music sits in acoustic folk and americana territory, built around candid, personal storytelling. His 2018 single 'stories from the past' — produced at milkman studios — gives a good sense of the warm, heartfelt writing at the core of his work.
