Oxford-based jazz tenor saxophonist and bandleader with an mmus in jazz performance from birmingham conservatoire, ewen baird leads quartets and other small combos through a range of jazz repertoire from standards to contemporary material. He has performed alongside notable figures including jim mullen, kenny baker, and geoff castle, and has released a cd titled 'took your time'. A regular on the oxford and thames valley jazz circuit, he appears frequently at local venues and jazz nights.
