Espiritus Libres

This month for our Summertown Arts Jazz Club , I am presenting my “Espiritus Libres” Latin Jazz sextet to play our potent mix of Latin Jazz tunes with the emphasis on beautiful Melodies and danceable grooves; all brought to you by some of the finest musicians in the UK. Join us for an evening of Latin Jazz music including tunes from the likes of Vince Mendoza, Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Hernandez, Ray Barretto, Humberto Ramirez and Paquito d’Rivera.  The band features the soulful tenor and soprano saxophone of Vasilis Xenopoulos, the virtuosic pianist Liam Dunachie, the fiery energy of Freddie Gavita on trumpet, the dream rhythm section of Laurence Cottle - Electric Bass and Jack Karnacz-Pollitt - drums along with Keith Fairbairn on congas . Whether you come along to dance or sit and listen, this is an evening not to be missed! Plus of course there will be a bar courtesy of our wonderfully supportive hosts at Summertown Arts Centre and interval music from local Music students.
