Theorist are a four-piece progressive metal act originally from the isle of wight, known for high-energy, physically intense live shows with crowd interaction and pit-calling. They competed in the metal 2 the masses oxford competition across 2024 and 2025, reaching the grand final at the jericho tavern in june 2025 — a strong showing in a competitive field of metal bands vying for a bloodstock festival slot.
