The 2-tone band behind mirror in the bathroom, stand down margaret and save it for later, led by singer, songwriter and guitarist dave wakeling. Formed in 1979, their debut single, a cover of tears of a clown, went to number six in the uk charts, and three studio albums and a run of hits followed by 1983. They have toured the world alongside the clash, the police, talking heads and david bowie, and sold out their last uk tour in 2023.
