Birkenhead band famed for satirical, sardonic and often surreal songs stuffed with uk pop culture and place names. Their 1985 debut back in the dhss topped the indie chart, john peel championed them through twelve sessions, and the trumpton riots and joy division oven gloves remain cult favourites.
