stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
Synth pop band who fuse lush synths, shoegaze guitars and dream pop with an afrofuturist rhythm section, fronted by a female drummer and lifted by the harmonies of a black gospel choir. Their songs are a rallying cry for misfits and outsiders, pairing heart-on-sleeve lyrics with a rush of euphoria they call joyful sadness.
