stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
The project of dutch born singer, songwriter and pianist suze terwisscha van scheltinga, who came to the north east to study folk and traditional music at newcastle university and became a fixture of the newcastle folk scene before moving to london in 2024. Her songs blend folk, jazz and pop, retelling folk ballads and fairytales through a cast of scorned wives, sheltered princesses and crossdressing adventurers.
