Named after a telephone-dating service, telekura is a Dublin-based collective born from a shared love for a maximalist sound. Founded by Stephen Purcell and Rachel Tan - two neighbours who cycled past each other daily but made music exclusively apart - the band has evolved into a creative partnership with Liam Brady on drums, Risa Hanamoto on synths and Michael O'Sullivan on bass.
