about the band
stampbot says…
stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
A north london singer, songwriter and guitarist who fronted the stranglers through their punk and new wave years, from 1974 to 1990. Since leaving the band he has built a long solo career of literate, wiry rock records, including moments of madness in 2022.
