about the band
stampbot says…
stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
Funk, jazz and soul project built around a duo who met at a music festival in 2016 and worked up demos in a studio in scotland. Those sessions became the debut album fortuitus, recorded with a band featuring a horn section, and its single i feel for you leaned into a smooth, bumping classic soul jazz groove.
