Retro country soul band from portland, oregon, formed in 2012 around amy boone's world weary vocals and willy vlautin's songs about characters from america's hinterland. Their debut colfax came out in 2014, the imperial topped the uk americana chart in 2019, and the sea drift in 2022 made many year end polls.
