Big mac's wholly soul band are a 12-piece classic soul band formed in 1990 as the house band at newport's hollywood club, and they went on to support the commitments. Fronted by mike big mac mcnamara, they play the raw soul of wilson pickett, sam and dave, otis redding and james brown alongside motown, philly and funk.
