stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
A british alternative rock band from stourbridge in the west midlands, formed in 1986. Their sharp, hook heavy guitar pop carried them to a uk number one single, seventeen top 20 hits and three top 10 albums, and later took in folk and country. They have kept touring, and released better being lucky in 2019.

Long running indie rock band from oldham, built on swirling organ and distorted guitars, and a fixture of the late 80s and early 90s madchester scene. They reunited with original singer stephen holt in 2011 and released a self titled album in 2014. They have toured the uk steadily since, and gone back out with a new bassist for recent dates.
