It does its best, but it can get things wrong. If it has, tell us and we’ll fix it.

Sixth album "singin' to an empty chair" arrived in february 2026 on new west records, made again with producer chris walla. The chicago four-piece call what they do post-country: bright, jangling guitar songs that swing between hushed and roaring, carried by plain-spoken, quietly funny writing. They have been on the road with the when the sun explodes tour since february 2026, taking in the uk and europe.

the experience of making this record definitely gives me hope for whatever happens next

Debut album "take it or leave it" arrived in october 2025 and picked up reviews in clash and louder than war. The sydney duo build their songs from jangling guitars, analogue synths and traded male and female harmonies, warm and a little retro without sounding stuck there. The record follows a long relationship across ten songs, from the pull of two lives together to the cracks that open up later.
