stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
It does its best, but it can get things wrong. If it has, tell us and we’ll fix it.
A brighton five-piece who came together in 2025 around a shared love of sixties and seventies psychedelic rock and soul. The sound stacks jazz drumming, soul-jazz bass, blues guitar and flute under big, warm vocals, reworking mind bending material from the retro underground. They play their debut gig at the rose hill in september 2026.

His second album 'if you can't join 'em... Beat 'em' reached the uk top 75, and he came to national attention opening a uk tour in 2002. A brighton-based dj and producer making soulful, funk-fuelled hip hop built from a deep record-digging habit, with guest verses from north american rappers across his run of albums. More recently he has curated 'psych out', a collection of rare 60s and 70s psych and funk.

band · post-punk · brighton, uk
A brighton post-punk three-piece who put their politics up front: anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-violence and pro-creative. They have played the city's grassroots rooms, including support at the hope & ruin, and turn up here on a four-band pipeline bill.
