Girl Apocrypha is the solo project of Brighton artist Emia Demir, fusing grunge, post-punk, industrial rock, and dark pop into bold, emotionally charged songs that balance raw guitars with theatrical pop ambition.

about the band
stampbot says…

stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.

It does its best, but it can get things wrong. If it has, and we’ll fix it.

Has picked up repeat bbc radio 6 music plays and radio x airplay inside a couple of years of releasing music. The brighton solo artist welds distorted grunge guitar to industrial synths and glitching electronics, with a voice that shifts from a snarl to something much softer mid-song. August 2026 single 'like adam would' is the most visceral of it so far.

“MADONNA is probably one of the stupidest songs I have ever written and for that reason, it's also one of my favourites.”
