If you loved Nomeansno then you will have missed not seeing them for over 10 yrs!! But now we have Dead Bob with John Wright back behind the kit doing what he does best, and excellent they are too, they even treat us to some NMN originals....some come along and have a fab night of excellent entertainment.....I can promise you this, they are worth the long wait.

There will only be one support to allow Dead Bob a full unrestricted set

Dead Bob is the solo incarnation of John Wright, drummer of long time and apparently legendary, but now retired, Canadian punk band No Means No (NMN). Wright has spent 50 years drumming, 45 years songwriting, 30 years touring, three years helping robots play punk rock, 30 years brewing, and a lifetime playing music – in more bands than you can count on one hand.

Currently practicing drums, with one album released and a 2nd due imminently, Wright is not planning on slowing down any time soon. The material on "Life Like” spans decades and there's lots more in the vault. The album was recorded and produced by Wright in the wilds of British Columbia and while he primarily wrote and performed it himself, he can't take all of the credit, having engaged the help of several friends including Byron Slack (Invasives), Kristy Lee Audette (Rong), Ford Pier (Ford Pier and the Vengeance Trio, DOA, Roots Round up, Junior Gone Wild, Rheostatics), Selina Martin, his son Aidan Wright, as well as two old collaborations with his brother Rob in the writer’s chair.

As might be expected, the songs roll out cohesively but defy the cookie cutter pigeon holes, hence "Genre" is a tough one to convey but one thing that is not unclear is it is not to be listened to quietly! We aim to make sure you hear it all good and loud!

Dead Bob first Tour of the UK will be supporting their New upcoming album “Nothing Changes Everything” out on April 25th released on Alternative Tentacles/Wrong Records.

stampbot says…

stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.

It does its best, but it can get things wrong. If it has, tell us and we’ll fix it.

The band of a canadian punk drummer with fifty years behind the kit, best known for decades in one of canada's most revered underground punk groups. The songs are wiry, fast and dryly funny, hammering drums under shouted hooks and lurching time changes. Debut album life like was written and recorded largely alone in rural british columbia, with nothing changes everything following on alternative tentacles.

The cambridge trio put out their album 'needs must while the devil rides' in march 2026, their third release since 2024. They swerve between blues, punk and swamp rock without settling anywhere, deliberately hard to pin down. Live it is loud, scrappy and unpolished on purpose.

Have opened for osees at chalk in their home city, which tells you roughly how they land live. The brighton four-piece play flat-out retro punk: short, raw, wired songs with no polish on them at all. Debut album 'shoulders at 90' was written and recorded in a living room in eight weeks.
