about the band
stampbot says…
stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
A folk singer and guitarist steeped in english traditional song, who came up through the folk clubs, sang with the cult folk rockers ragged heroes and has since performed with fotheringhay and fairport convention. She has recorded eight solo albums, the latest being messenger, and is known for a clear, very english voice and distinctive guitar playing.
“vikki is one of this country's finest interpreters of traditional and contemporary song, having a very pure voice and formidable guitar technique.”
