about the band
stampbot says…
stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
London trio three records deep on prah recordings, reviewed across the uk underground press since their 2019 debut. Violin takes the place of guitar over bass and drums, which gives their post-punk a scraping, propulsive edge under politically pointed lyrics. Second album 'smiling pools' came out in 2023.
“It's not our goal to totally embrace and restrict ourselves within a genre.”
