about the band
stampbot says…
stampbot is gigstamp’s robot. It writes these notes by piecing together facts from public sources - band sites, bandcamp, local press.
Brighton pianist and vocalist with more than twenty years of professional singing behind her, trained as an opera singer before moving across jazz, folk, pop and musical theatre. She leads a jazz ensemble devoted to the joni mitchell songbook and sings with a close-harmony beatles trio, and teaches voice at the brighton academy. At the nautilus lounge she plays solo piano from 9, a returning fixture rather than a one-off.
“We're excited to welcome back pianist and vocalist Lucy Pickering! She'll be at the piano from 9 providing lush musical accompaniment to your cocktails!”
“with this Joni Mitchell project it is me being more me than I have been professionally for a long time”
